I am in a private studio, the studio is a large open space shared with another artist, It may just be the two of us in the room, or there may be another artist and their client.
Privacy screens are available and can be used if required or requested.
We can offer the use of Bactine spray during the session
We can use numbing cream (Numit 5% cream), instructions on how to apply numbing cream can be sent through as it is more effective if applied prior to the booking.
Temperature considerations, the studio has portable heaters and fans to adjust the temperate.
There are windows that open for airflow
The studio is accessible via stairwell, or via the elevator
I’m happy to wear a mask for the duration of the session if requested
If you require the assistance of another, you can bring with you a support person, a friend, interpreter, etc (please let me know in advance)

FURNATURE
Seat - max weight 160kg, width 45cm, depth 53cm, height 46.5cm
Tattoo bed small - max weight 230kg, Adjustable height 60cm-80cm (set at 70cm), width 60cm, length 185cm
Tattoo bed large - max weight 250kg, Adjustable 60cm-80cm (set at 75cm), width 70cm, length 180cm
(We share the two tattoo beds, you can request a specific bed, please just let me know in advance)
TOILETS
There are toilets in the stairwell (access requires use of a key), stairwell is 9m from studio entrance. the toilets are shared but locked and not open to the public.
They are labeled “Gents” and “Ladies”, but both are commonly used as unisex. Gents has urinals, and the ladies doesn’t smell as gross.
Both of the bathrooms are large rooms with cubicles, there are no hand rails in the bathroom or cubicle.
Cubicles measure (roughly) 80cm x 150cm, doorway is 60cm wide and door opens inward.
Access to either toilet requires stairs, stairs measure 140cm wide, 17cm high, 28cm in depth. Hand rails on both sides of stairs
“Gents” is down 8 stairs
“Ladies” is up 8 stairs to a landing, then up 3 more stairs
WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE TOILET [updated soon]
There is talk of a wheelchair accessible toilet on Level 2, while I figure out where this is located and how to access it, I have included a link to the City of Melbourne accessibility map

These wheelchair accessible toilet are not within the Nicholas Building.
ACCESSIBLE PARKING

SCENT
Incense is burnt in the studio, please mention if you have sensitivity to this
We use non-scented medical cleaning products to prep the space prior to your arrival, this can leave a very faint chemical odour (if sensitive to this, cleaning can be done the night prior to your booking)
LIGHT
Natural light
Fluorescent overhead lights (non-flickering)
Tungsten lamps (mood lighting)
I do not use a headlamp or any directional lighting/ring lights during the tattoo
SOUND
The space is very quiet, you cannot hear the noise of the city
There may be one artist and their client working/chatting in the room
The machinery used in the studio is quiet (pen style machine)
Music will be playing, this can be changed or the volume adjusted if it doesn’t match your vibe
People walk and talk in the hallway and on very rare occasion there are louder noises due to others working within the building
You’re welcome to bring earplugs or headphones and zone out during the tattoo
We do not have to talk during the session, please just let me know
ALLERGIES
Our default gloves are latex gloves, nitrile gloves can be used upon request
If you have sensitivity to adhesive (masking tape, etc) please let me know
Green soap (a natural soap made from pure vegetable oils and glycerin), petroleum jelly and Isopropyl Alcohol (64%) are used on the skin
Coloured inks have different ingredients to black ink, different ink colours can respond differently, if you have previous had an unusual reaction to an ink colour please let me know.
If you have allergy concerns that are not mentioned above, please let me know prior to the booking.

I’m happy to answer any questions prior to the booking, or during the booking
You can ask about price, you’re paying for a service, it is totally okay to ask how much that service will cost
You can ask for design changes
You can ask to move a stencil as many times as you want
You can ask me to slow down and explain any aspect of the process
You can have extra time for decisions if needed, there’s never any reason to rush a tattoo
You can have a moment to sit and relax once you arrive at the studio
You can bring a friend
You can reach out the weeks after the booking with any questions about the tattoo or aftercare
You can also not get the tattoo, you’re allowed to change your mind
